Message - Chairman Bernie Zadrowski
My Fellow Republicans:
Many of you are working diligently on
behalf of the GOP and/or our Republican candidates.
I know you are all very busy so I will not take up too
much of your valuable time. I just wanted to drop you
a quick line to advise you of a few very important topics.
No doubt, most of you have heard that Clark County Commissioner
Bruce Woodbury has been removed from the ballot by the
Nevada Supreme Court as a result of their decision regarding
term limits. Commissioner Woodbury has represented Commission
District A for 27 years and has long been the heart
of the Republican Party. His accomplishments are far
too numerous to list in this message, but suffice it
to say that the longest serving county commissioner
in Nevada history has provided honest, ethical leadership
at all times, even in the recent past when the term
"convicted felon" was synonymous with the
term Clark County Commissioner. Zero ethics complaints
in 27 years, folks. They don't make them any better
that Bruce Woodbury.
Although we are disheartened that the court took this
action, Commissioner Woodbury has vowed, nevertheless,
to continue to be active in the leadership of our party,
the county, and our state. No doubt, we will be calling
on Bruce to provide leadership in other areas of government
that need his guidance and direction. I know that we
all look forward to his continued involvement.
I am also announcing today that Bobbie J. Haseley has
stepped down as our CCRP Communications Director. Bobbie's
hard work has not gone unnoticed. As a result she has
been asked to work with Vaughn Ward, Nevada State Director,
McCain 08 to ensure we deliver Clark County Republicans
to the voting booths in November. Although I am saddened
that I will no longer have the privilege to work with
Bobbie on a daily basis, I am elated that she will continue
to be deeply involved in the party. Bobbie has given
me her word that she will continue to be involved in
working with the E-board.
We also want to welcom our new officers, Sherry Rickard
(Secretary) and David Williams (Vice Chairman) who were
elected at our last CCRCC meeting.
Finally, to those of you who are giving of your time,
I implore you to keep fighting the good fight. I know
that this campaign season has been hard and you are
weary. At times you may feel like you are all alone
in this fight and that your efforts have gone unnoticed.
Every day I encounter our exhausted foot soldiers on
the front lines of our campaigns, knocking on doors,
making phone calls, registering new Republicans. To
those of you on the front lines of this battle I offer
the thanks of a grateful Republican Party. To those
of you who have yet to heed the call - our fighters
need reinforcements. WE NEED YOUR HELP! Please visit
the CCRP website at www.clarkgop.org
and contact us to volunteer. Now, more than ever, we
need your help in the battle to preserve our Republican
values.
Once again, know that the thoughts and prayers of myself,
my family, and the leadership of the GOP is with you.
I look forward to continuing to fight with you on the
front lines as we enter the final stages of our campaigns.
Sincerely yours,
Bernie Zadrowski,
Clark County GOP Chairman
