November Message - Chairman Bernie Zadrowski

My Fellow Clark County Republicans;

There is no way to "candy coat" what happened on election night, and it would be disingenuous of me to attempt to spin the results of the election in such a way as to minimize the damage . Like you, I am disappointed because I believed that our tremendous efforts would have borne more fruit. Unfortunately, it did not, and quite frankly, although many races were close, we took a pounding. Like many of you, I did not know what the "morning after" would bring. Last night I asked, "What do we do now? Where do we go from here?" This morning, the answer became clear to me.

Oddly, the sun came up this morning, and much to my surprise, the world around me continued to buzz and whir. As stark reality set in, it became abundantly clear to me that the world, political or otherwise, was not going to stop while I roiled in disbelief and despair about an election that was now, already in the can for the other side. I realized this morning that now is the time that we must muster the strength to straighten our backs, lift our collective chins, and fight forward.

Today, with resolve and determination, we must endeavor to restore the color of Nevada to its rightful RED hue. Though our hearts are heavy with the losses of great GOP leaders like Bob Beers and Dr. Joe Heck, the time to begin repainting is now. We must continue to move onward toward that shining city on the hill. Although we have been thrown and we are down, it is time to get back on that pony and ride!

Very soon the CCRP Executive Board will be conducting a "post-mortem" meeting to discuss the various activities that, we, as a party undertook towards winning this election. We will examine what worked, what didn't, what we should keep or toss, and ultimately, what we need to do to win in 2010. That means that we need your input! Please, no matter how short or long, please send me your thoughts on what you believe will earn us a victory in elections to come. My e-mail address is: Chairman@ClarkGOP.org.

Once we have your input, we will be reviewing your comments before putting together a new political plan. We will be doing this very soon, so please make it a priority to get your comments to me ASAP. Every comment will be read and considered. There are no "dumb" comments, so if you have something you think is going to be of value, please send it. We will use your comments and suggestions in creating a winning strategy for the next election.

With your help, I am confident that we will again be victorious. It will take hard work and dedication, such as that which was exhibited by so many of you who volunteered your time, energy and money towards re-electing our great GOP leaders in the assembly - Chad Christensen, Lynn Stewart, and Dr. Joe Hardy. Likewise, we should not forget the tremendous accomplishment of sending John Hambrick, Dick MacArthur, and Melissa Woodbury to Carson City to join them. To those of you who gave so deeply in this year's election effort, please accept the heartfelt thanks of the Clark County Republican Party. More importantly, please accept our invitation to continue your great work on behalf of the GOP.

Yours in Republican Service,
Bernie Zadrowski,
Clark County GOP Chairman
