Message from the New Chairman

Dear Fellow Clark County Republicans:

"He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people, and eat out their substance." Those words ring as true today as they did when Thomas Jefferson first wrote them for the Declaration of Independence. We are being attacked from within our own borders. Thankfully there is a renewed grassroots movement of concerned Americans fighting to protect us from government irresponsibility. The CCRP will proudly lead that movement.

The blood, toil, tears and sweat of past Americans will not be rendered meaningless. We will continue to live in that "shining city upon a hill" that President Ronald Reagan inspired us with during his farewell address to the nation.

As Republicans we've all made it clear that we want a rolling back of taxes - not just for the wealthy, but for the small business owner, the entrepreneurs starting a home based business, laborers, the established wage earners who, when faced with the loss of their jobs, don’t ask for a handout but strive to find a new path, and all others who struggle day to day to make this Country productive and strong.

Reducing taxes isn’t enough. Any responsible American knows you don’t spend your money foolishly. So our party will be vigilant to make sure all Nevada legislators and officials reduce the size and intrusiveness of government. This is the path to new jobs, economic prosperity and the life of liberty under the rule of law to which we are all entitled.

As Republicans we’re a community of individuals who will not, and are not expected to, think alike on all issues. But we know, and the American Experience has long demonstrated as true, that lasting prosperity is based on the skills and hard work of individual Americans to whom the Constitution guarantees life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. We know that prosperity does not arise from government allocation of spoils. It is time to join together as a team to elect Republican candidates to stop the nonsense.

The Opposition is already organized but it is fragile, built on childish promises and no dedication to bearing the burdens of good civic governance. Our challenge is for each of us, shoulder to shoulder, to rally around one vision, the vision of the newly constituted CCRP. We’re a welcoming party. Every American who believes in the Constitution, limited government, fiscal integrity, family values, and our other core values can and must come stand together. Stand together as proud Republicans, and march on to Victory in 2010.
